Western Mass. Update.
Gentlemen I hope all is well. I am catching up with the various threads, and am convinced that this job will be delivered on time and on budget. Myself and Matt Kolmer have assembled and primed the 90 minis. We also use the paint stir stick method. I will be down and out for a week after a little surgery. I anticipate finishing the first 90 minis by mid December, and will ship them to Maine on the day the final sealcoat dries. I do expect that there will still be a few minis left to paint, so I would appreciate another 90 if you have them. Thanks Jack.
As my mum would say, "Good on ya, Jack!"
It's a great project, and iI am happy to be a small part of it, and glad you fellows are too.
Best of luck with the surgery, and let us know how you are getting along. If you need anything at all, just holler!
Respects,
Tim Kindred
Hey, Jack. Good to hear from you! Terrific news about the figs- thanks for the update. If you find the time to post a photo at some point it would be nice to see the progress.
Good luck with the surgery. Is it that time already? Wow. Hope it is wonderfully routine and that you are back on your feet soon.
How do you feel about Romans for the next batch?
Thanks guys, Romans are cool! I will keep you posted Thanks.
The surgery went fine. I am looking forward to getting those minis completed! I will update when shipping.
Hey, Jack. Great news! I was planning to write to you today. Glad it went well.
Want me to ship those Romans? How many cohorts (24 each)?
Jack,
Glad it went well. I've got one more to go on my right eye, and likely one to fix a torn rotator cuff, however I'm putting the latter off for as long as possible... ![]()
Thanks again for all the help!
thanks guys! Tim the musculoskelatal stuff is no joke, but the eye should be almost outpatient and fast.
I will try to upload some photos of the 60 completed this week. Sorry about the poor

Here are some pictures of Jack's troops. Germans in the snow- how appropriate!

Makes me think of Breem's, Eagle in the Snow.

Awesome job! Thanks for the photos, Jack.
Thanks for posting them. I was looking for that dirty straight out of the swamp look. Part of my "time off" is dedicated to becoming more tech savy. So thanks again. I cant wait to play this scenario!!!
I have some Romans at the house. (eight boxes= personal stash) so I am going to get started on assembly. Give me a number so I can start. If I don't hear from you I will assemble and paint48.
Hi, Jack.
We are doing 24 figure cohorts. I can ship out a replacement box to you, or we can catch up at Huzzah!
How are you feeling these days?
Thanks!
I'm feeling great. Its a balmy 17 degrees so I went for a 1hr walk. we can catch up on the minis at Huzzah!
Sounds like a great day to paint indoors. Its a little warmer here, 24', but the wind makes it brisk. I'm hoping to get back to my Germans this evening.
43 degrees here in the California desert. A couple of degrees warmer than yesterday: Nancy went to the doctor's all bundled up, in a turtleneck, with a T-shirt over that, and one of my LL Bean flannel shirts over that. I was comfortable in a polo shirt!
But it is relatively chilly here. I'm taking photos of figures and getting ready to paint, while Nancy is keeping the kitchen warm doing up beef bones for stock, and lots of pig parts...
Allen
Hi, Allen.
First thing I did upon arriving home was bring in an armload of wood and start the kitchen wood stove. Its extra work, but I like a wood stove, and I love having heat and the ability to cook when the power goes out. Not that the power goes out very often, but its nice to not have to worry too much when it does.
My plan is to spend the evening painting Germans...
Hello Allen 43 degrees wow sounds like a California day to me. Dean a major break through today. I managed to post a picture. I would love a wood stove that would be awesome.
48 Romans assembled and ready to prime. If the wind slows down a little.:)
