Henry's Cohorts, reporting for duty!
Henry has been busy assembling and painting Romans for the Sabis game and we managed to get some photos over the weekend.
Here are Henry's first and second cohorts at the original strength of 16 figures. We are now moving to 24 figure cohorts so Henry has a few more to do!

Same cohorts, from the rear.

Henry might jump in here to give better instructions, but my understanding is that he is priming the figures in back, dry-brushing with white, and then using a heavy color-wash. They look great and I may try his technique once mine are assembled.
Well done, Henry!
Nice, Henry!
The whole system seems to work out well- including the decals. For the goals set for the club, it would be hard to paint all of those shields.
It will be an uphill battle to HUZZAH!- keep up the good work!

Dean, or whoever is coordinating the troops; it would be great to get periodic updates as to how many figures have been completed. Maybe once a month?
Mike
Hi, Mike.
Great idea. I'll try to put together a Sabis update with the total number of figs completed, pictures, etc. Maybe even twice a month.

I think as we see progress being made, our intensity and excitement grows. Even something basic like the typical United Way donation thermometer signs we see along the highways would be good.
"Only 1800 more barbarians to go guys!"
All kidding aside, from the posts I clearly see incredible efforts being made to get this project moving. We're now almost mid December, about six months away from the big event. It will be fun to track progress as the calendar moves forward.
Mike
Henry, very nice. Now I can opt for a color other than red. I look forward to seeing more, and will try to get my cohorts further along.

Looking good Henry!
