NOR-CON I
Hi All,
We are looking for planners, players and GM's for our 1 day con in the Bangor, Maine area. We are planning for 12 games for Saturday June 5th, 2010. So far we have a solid commitment for 7 games and 1 tentative. We still need an ancient game, an ACW game, an ECW game and a medievel game. Anyone interested can contact me at kodiak-wdj@roadrunner.com. Thanks. Take care and Happy New Year.
Bill

Thanks. I moded a WWII propaganda poster. It must have been early war as the troops are still wearing the British style helmet I see. Take care.

Bill - Great Poster!!! I love the stance of the guy with the lanyard . . .
Andy
I always thought they stood to one side rather than behind it. I saw a video on Youtube where a guy was standing behind some kind of ex-Soviet AT gun when it fired. I think it was a Syrian 100mm. Anyway he ended up with a serious stomach ache and was punched right out of the picture by it.
Hello.
There's always the guy a classmate of mine in ROTC knew. He stood outside the box of an SP 155 in training with a smartly bloused set of fatigues on. When the gun fired, he was left with just a belt and blousing rubbers with tatters attached.

Hello.
Bill, is the most recent PEL available for this forum? Perhaps the game descriptions might help as well.
I mention this because I know that you have so little to do.... ;-P

Hi Bob,
I am trying to get it out today. I will send it to you as soon as I can. Thanks.
Bill
I am not sure if this will work or not but here is the PEL uploaded in two different file formats. Feel free to spread it around to any and all. Thanks. Take care.

And remember
Hey, folks- dont forget, NOR-CON is this coming weekend! I know from emailing Bill that the lineup of games is looking good and registrations are rolling in, but they still have room for more players. This is a great chance to support our more northerly gamers, have some fun rolling dice, and get to Bangor for a day. The Borders up there is great, as is the selection of restaurants. If you are bringing the kids, they have a nice Children's Museum right in down town too.
Chance of showers for Saturday. Should be a good time to play a game.

A trip to the Portland area for me is about 2 hours away, and if I recall correctly from my college days in Orono, Bangor is about another 2 and a half hours away from Portland. Probably won't make it this year, yet I'll keep my eye open for it to happen again, and maybe I can combine it with a trip to visit the old stomping grounds in the future.
You got that right 'gamespoet', that's a long ride. Hopefully I won't forget my camera as I did at Huzzah and will get some good pics.
Out of curiosity, to see what the details were, I tried downloading the two pdfs listed above, but it wouldn't take. Any ideas on how to get the details for the WWI, ECW, AWI, and Naps games?
The second one, the RTF, should be able to be opened by any word processor. I think the first one might be an open office file with that ODT extension.
