There is a Hobby store in Falmouth near the turnpike entrance in the back of the Hanafords that carries hobby supplies. More of a remote control airplane/car retailer, but they do have a good selection of military models.

Ray and Robbins is very good for paint, flock, tools, etc.  I love to stop by when I find myself out on the turnpike.

I think its at the West Falmouth exit.

Yes it is. I think it's exit 53. I commute to that exit at least five days a week and I don't know the exit number! Most of the time I sleep and the car takes me where I need to be.

Rat and Robin's does have a good assortment of military models and that's where I usually get a quick jar of paint once in a while. They used to have Humbral; but I think those have been gone for a while.

There is also another hobby/train store on Route 1 in Falmouth. Maine Modelworks and Pete is a decent guy. Lots of flock and Woodland Scenic stuff. I also can get the Floquil enamels there.

A small assortment of plastic military kits, 1/72 and 1/35 figures can be found at Craft Mania in Auburn. The assortment of decent stuff in Auburn is more plentiful than what can be found at AC Moore in S Portland. Currently in Auburn is a reasonable selection of plastic napoleonics, WW II, and vietnam in 1/72. Not at all like the cornicopia of the Hobby Bunker (Malden, MA), but not bad for small market Maine.
