Sabis Update for March 14th

I realize that its been a long time since our last update, so here we go!  Lots to discuss in a short amount of time.  The Nervii are coming in a slow trickle at this point.  Thanks to all who have been working hard at their pile of troops! 

At the recent Game Day we received these troops from Mike Tribou.  Its a great band of Nervii warriors.  Here are some photos.  The troops are much nicer than my pictures.  Sorry, Mike.  I'm learning the characteristics of a new camera so bear with me.

Henry Coll delivered seven cohorts of Romans to the Game Day, and I've received an email from him that his 8th cohort was completed this week!  In addition, he tackled some side projects, converting some Wargames Factory Roman Cavalry into a figure for Caesar, and some Legion Command figs.

And the Jenkins got the whole family involved in their latest contribution (that would be mom, dad, and three boys) a unit of Celts.

Andy Alley painted a band of Nervii with great speed a couple of weeks ago and I am going to get some photos of them shortly.  I glued them to bases yesterday and they look very cool.  Expect an update later in the morning.

Rob Brown delivered his 600 Nervii to Chris Penney this weekend.  I dont have any photos to post but they are at Penney's and we'll be scheduling a "basing" party at his place to get them ready for action.

My focus of late has been on getting figures glued to bases so that when we meet to work on basing, the stands will be ready for ground cover.  I put three warbands to bases yesterday and am keeping a pile of bases and figs on the dining room table, in easy reach!  Whenever I have a few minutes, I grab another batch and set to.

Okay.  I have to head out the door but will get more photos posted later in the day.  Thanks to everyone who has helped with this project.  Its huge, and a lot of work, but hopefully a lot of fun too!
