How are the Trafalgar Rules?

The Trafalgar rules are AWESOME. They are simple yet fun. We don't have enough models finished to play yet so we are using cardboard cutouts temporarily. If anyone is interested in Napoleonic era naval combat I strongly recomend it. It"s definitely a lot of fun. I'm not sure if we will be playing it this coming tuesday or not, but I'm sure we can arrange something if anyone wants to give it a try. We start around 6pm every week. Feel free to stop by and join in. -Mark

My son has a bunch of the plastic Whiz Kids ships that AH was distributing as Pirates of the Revolution, etc, etc.  They look OK from a distance.  They would be OK to put a larger game on until you got your stuff painted up.

Here is an example.  They are a little big and gommy.

Great place to start though.  Maybe we should consider Trafalgar and some of these for the student clubs.

The Wiz kids ships come in around  the 1/1200 scale. Their Barbary Coast ones make great Renaissance War Galleys.

Dean,

Might not be a bad idea to start as some of the kids might have ships of their own already.

Yeah, or they could pick some up inexpensively, assemble and be ready to play.
