Huzzah! 2010 photos- add yours here
The Vallejo Color Wheel was a big hit with 150 people walking away with some number of paint pots. People stepped up to spin the inner wheel, and won kits on Gold, Silver and Red.
It worked pretty well. I wish I'd taken some video of people spinning the wheel.
Here is the prize table, piled higher and deeper with paint. Thanks, Vallejo!

Really cool looking ship game. I loved the islands.

Gordon and Denise Friday night, before the FOW Tournament

The Spivey Point Gang

Vic Gregoire outdid himself on this one for the kids- they were hootin' n' hollerin!

Here are some Sabis Romans, based but not yet static grassed! They would be by game time.

Okay, more pics...thank God my wife had time to use her camera!

Wayne was running a WW2 skirmish here

Stan Kubiak's Aerodrome 2.0 WW2

I dont know if this was Peter Landry's Napoleonic or SYW game....

Alright, I caved. I bought into the 28mm French Revolutionary Period. However, I was in good company.

George Arrington at Art Fossa's table, ADC Books

I think this is Tim's Behind Enemy Lines game but I could be wrong

The RLBPS shop was awesome, and Anne is just a wonderful woman. Always a smile and pleasant word.

Some of the 25mm Pulp figs at RLBPS. These were terrific looking figs and if I'd had more time to browse through them, I bet I could have found lots of packs that would be of use for one game or another.
Ah, Dean beat me to it, so I'll post some photos here below ...
Pictures From the of Sabis at Huzzah! 2010
(This game used all Wargames Factory figures form there Roman and German sets.)
The first photo below is what the table looked like in the morning for show. It’s a little dark, but this actually works out nicely, as if its early morning and the Romans are just waking up and haven’t quite seen the Germans approaching from the woods. (I’m unfamiliar with when the battle actually started, but it makes for a good story at this point anyway.)
And then the sun rises! (As I figure out that my camera needs a better exposure, so I change it.)
The next photo shows a view from one end of the table. All the Roman soldiers painted for the game are on the right, and the Germans can be seen in the woods on the left.
And the next picture shows the table from the other end where the rest of the German soldiers are amassed for eventual pouring … out of the woods.
The following photo shows a closer view of the Roman Legions.
And this shows the Roman Cavalry encountering the German Cavalry, the latter retreating into the woods.
Then, as the German hordes begin emerging from the woods, the Roman Cavalry make their retreat (this is recorded to have actually happened), the Roman Legions form a battle line, the Germans charge and crash into the Roman formations.
The photo above was only the first wave of German barbarians, and as many were cut down in large numbers, more and more continued to flood onto the field of play/battle.
This really was a massive table top game!
The unfortunate part ... I had to leave before seeing the end, although I'm told that the Nervii squeaked out a minor victory of sorts although there wasn't enough time nor energy to bring on the 10th legion at the end.
I've got close to a hundred shots... Have we got enough space here to put them up, or should I put them up somewhere else and post the link?
Mike
Hey all,
Here's a link to my contribution to the photo archive.

I too have about a hundred or so shots. I'll cull through them in the next couple days and post the highlights. I didn't get as many as I would have liked, as I was at the SABIS table for Saturday, but I did get a bunch of good shots. And yes Dean that is my Friday BEL game above. Dave Cormier is moving into position to assault the Brecourt Battery... great scenario that.
I had to look away from RLBPS, because every time I looked even for a moment, I saw something that I thought would make a great fig just to paint, never mind use. Bad, Bad, Evil vendors.... must budget more money next time.
I think we should be very proud of ourselves... collectively we rose to each challenge that came along, and did just fine putting out little fires for our first time around. The next Huzzah will be even better than the first.

Thanks Dan,
Im thinking of a variation of this game using midget subs seehunds in the channel based on some actual events towards the end of the war.
I upoaded a few pictures.
I was truly fascinated with Niven's castle and buildings. I took a lot of shots there to inspire me to make terrain as well, hopefully that looks just as good as Andy's.

OK. I am a bit behind on posting pictures but if you would care to see some of the entries for the painting contest head on over to...
www.moosetracks2009.blogspot.com
Lots of great entries and everyone who entered walked away with something. This was my first time running a contest and I am still trying to debrief myself. If you have any suggestions on how to improve email me at Ken@bluemoosearts.com and give me your ideas.
Thank you to all who supported me,
Ken
The sun was really shining brightly off that one river.

And what does that neat looking one towering piece of wintery mountain terrain represent?
