OK Wayne. I went through all of my old FOW stuff and discovered that my Parachute infantry have a much better selection of arms and equipment than my standard U.S. infantry so I remounted 12 of them individually. We have a bazooka, a BAR, two Thompsons and eight rifleman. I'm assuming that should be sufficient for our preliminary scenario. If we decide we want to use regular infantry for the campaign I can base some of them also but I think the paratroopers will probably give us a broader range of scenarios to work with. I have a .30 cal machine gun also but it's not painted yet. I figure I can get it ready for future use once I'm done moving. Let me know if this is acceptable. -Mark
Ok Wayne, I'm about to touch up and base some infantry. What regiment and division are we looking at?
28th the rest is classified.
Did we advise Eric to only read the Soldiers Handbook?

Ok Wayne, I have gone through all of my FOW americans infantry and I'm afraid I do not have a BAR. Do they even make a BAR model other than paratroopers? If they do and you happen to have one I think that is the only model we will be lacking. -Mark
Need to look at other lines such as Resistant Roosters, Peter Pig, QRF and Old Glory.
There is a rather nice B.A.R. pose in the American Airborne from FOW. Old Glory makes them, I think in the LMG packs in the Command Decision Line. None of the poses are particularly good though, in my not so humble opinion.
Remember that the figs are irrelevant really, its what the character sheet says that matters. If it says the character has a B.A.R. than thats what he has. Now of course as miniaturists, we all want the minis to match.

Good point Tim I've enough lead lying around now not going to get more just for a BAR.
Wayne
Lemme rummage through my parts pile, I bet I can come up with a decent B.A.R. figure that I can mail off to you. Just so you can have one for later

We played our first game of The Crossroads BEL campaign last night. So far We have no casualties to report and only a couple minor wounds. We started out in Belgium on a cold night when our Captain informed us that we were being over run by German armor and that he was going to surrender the company. From there on all hell broke loose. Thanks for a great game Wayne, I cant wait to see what happens next week. -Mark
