Bill - Germans
Colin - Russians
Peter R - American
Thanks to Joe Krone at Battlefront we now have six prizes for the tournament. Also, I am working on 6 more myself so everyone who enters (up to 12) will get something.
Bill - nice going! Every little bit counts.
Andy
Thanks. Too bad you are too far away to make it. It should be fun.
And now there are 7:
Robert - British or German
Also we are going to make it 1500 point late war to make it easier for the beginers and make the loaner armies go farther. Take care.
Bill
Hi,
Dont forget this sunday at noon, at the Game Citadel in Bangor, another FOW training game for the tournament. Take care.
Bill
I can't make it this sunday, and it looks like the tournament right now is also out. However, I've got a good start on the British paras and hope to be able to field them in a few weeks.
Bill, thanks for all your help so far.

Hi,
I cant wait to see the para's. I hope you and Robert have been able to connect. Hopefully you will be able to make it some sunday. It looks like we will be playing fairly regularly at the GC this fall anyway as a few people are interested. Dont hesitate to contact me with any questions if I can help. Take care.
Bill
I haven't heard from Robert yet.
I've got the paras all cleaned up, based and the primer coat on. I decided to base them with an urban/rubble look which will work well for Market Garden stuff, and add a bit of change from the regular earth/grass look. After much research and examining color images I settled on Krylon Khaki from their camouflage range. It's a good choice, IMHO for the base color of the Dennison smock, and is also light enough to let you see all the details. I decided to mount all the minis and base them BEFORE painting, as I can pretty well reach everything with a brush, and the shading will hide most everything else anyway.
I'll see if I can get some pics for you.
Respects,

Hi All,
We had a great tournament Saturday and interest in the area is definitely growing. Unfortunately only six people were able to make it this time so we weren't able to qualify anyone. Which is too bad as we had two excellent players, Colin and Robert. We based the winners on victory points and sportsmanship points and not lists or painting.
The prizes were great and went as follows:
Colin Jenkins: KV-85 and Matilda's
Robert Turnbull: Rulebook and CharB's
Peter Dalton: Panzer Kanonen and PzKw MkIII's
William Jenkins: M4 Sherman and Dice Set
Bill Jenkins: vonLuck and Quad AA HalfTracks
Pete Bitzell: Challenger A30 and M-10 Platoon
Thanks again to Joe Krone from Battlefront and the support. Take care.
Bill
Sounds like a good time. I hope to have my army finished for the next round and look forward to future contests.
Respects,
Well done, Lads...
All efforts to grow interest in our hobby is sweat well spent, regardless of attendance. Keep up the good works, and see you at Game Day!

Hi Tim,
How are they coming? Do you have any pictures of them yet?
Bill
Congrats, Bill! Sounds as though Colin has turned into an Ace. Nice job- and thanks for sharing the news with us.

Sadly, no. I'll try and post some this weekend, however. I'll also bring them along for Gameday on the 16th so you can take a look.
I've got them all cleaned and primed, and the bases done in an urban rubble motif. The paras have all their trousers done, and I'm painting through the Denison smocks right now. Base color and green done, adding the brown but had to take a break. After that will come the pouches and packs, the weapons, then flesh, helmets and then a wash. Finish up with some dry brushing and detailing the bases.
That will give me a Parachute company of 3 platoons, with 3 PIAT teams attached to the HQ stands. Future additions will be a battery of 17lb airlanding AT guns, a Parachute MG platoon and Mortar platoon, a 4-gun battery of 75mm airborne howitzers, and a Jeep-borne recon platoon.
Long term plans are to add some British Shermans and scout cars so as to be able to represent the Polish paras from Market Garden with their 30th Corps support..
