Saxon Photo Booth
Hi, Mike.
I'd say those are great shots. You may be right about the light, but the photo detail is crisp. I forget, how did you build yours?
I recycled a white pickle bucket from the deli. I cut a hole in the bottom of the bucket so that a light socket can be mounted in. Then I cut a half circle from the bucket lip (which I need to enlarge) so the camera can poke in to the bucket for the shot.
I set the bucket up upside down to shoot and the white bucket radiates light all around. The bucket is useful for a mobil set up as it also acts as the carrying case for any camera gear while traveling.

Nice shot and great idea.
Flying on the edge of a sandstorm? Maybe an early morning flight?
Yeah, that's it.
Mike
Those look like pretty good shots to me! There are some very simple kits for that kind of shooting that are relatively inexpensive, but it looks to me like you results are well in line with what you might get with one.
Good Gaming!

Looks very Good Mike.
Do You have the ability to manually set the white balance on your camera? If so, you wouldn't need to worry about the 'color' of the light.
Dan
Manually set the white balance.
I knew there had to be something other than seeking out some special photo light bulbs. Maybe both. I will read the camera manual to find white balance and do some more test driving. Maybe there will be other nifty camera tech stuff that I can do too, like make the aperature as small as possible for greatest depth of field.
When is Huzzah?
If anyone wants to make their own bucket booth, I can start saving buckets from the deli.
I hope you don't mind the smell of pickles...
