Thanks to all the Volunteers
So we put our second HUZZAH into the books, so now we can call ourselves a legitimate annual event I suppose.
THANK YOU
I want to also thank you all for your flexibility, in getting things done as needed and when needed, I know that whether it was myself or Dean or one of the several Floor Managers asking you to help move this table, or help this vendor in or out, it was done with a smile and with alacrity.
On several occasions I was told directly that the convention staff had been very helpful and pleasant to deal with, that goes a long way in bringing back players for next year; I also heard several times what a well run, quality show we are putting on. I really don't think that we can underestimate the value of that statement, as I believe it translates directly into more players next year.
Again I will summarize, thanks to all the volunteers and non-volunteers who pitched in when needed, you made my job very easy. I would name you all, but I am sure I am going to forget someone... but here goes:
Dean Emmerson, Henry Coll, Jim Hatch, Mike Tribou, Jim Flanagan, Mikey, Ken Eckhardt (doing double duty with a stint on the Reg desk and the painting contest) Chris Penny, Wayne Warner, Billy DiGiulio, Bob Kane, Andre Kruppa, Chris Gurney, and Andrew Niven....
A special tip of the Hat to Chris and Jim, for throwing themselves to the dogs and running that superb double session game, its not easy it was visually stunning, and I daresay that every player was well engaged and looked to be having a good time...
Thanks to Chris Parker for lugging the PA system in, that made life much easier for the announcing of the best of session winners and the Ticket Auction winners, oh and to Jim Hatch with that outstanding announcers voice, and Mike Tribou for his excellent announcing and his work in conjunction with Dean in organization of the ticket auction... And to the floor managers, Jim Hatch, Mike Tribou, Andrew Niven and myself, a fine job done by all (especially as we were making it up as we went)
Ahhhh I've gone on too long... THANKS to everyone.... We will have it polished to an even higher shine next year, and things will go smoother still.
May 4-6th 2012 anyone?
