Wow.  It was great to see so many different things on so many tables at the flea market.  This was definitely an adventure worth attending!

Here’s what I took home . . .

A copy of AH’s Blitzkrieg that I haven’t played in over 30 years.  This was one of the first strategy board games my father and I played in the early 70’s (copywrite 1965!).  Over the years it fell into disuse and became moldy in a cellar needing to be thrown out.  Very excited to have it again, and hoping helps get my father back into gaming because Blitzkrieg was something he really enjoyed.

Two “Strategy and Tactics” magazines that I’d wanted when I was a kid, “100 Years War” and “Armada”, but money was scarcer then, and there were other gaming priorities at the time.  I almost picked up a couple of others.

One Military Digest magazine with articles on WWII U.S. Airborne organization, Early’s Valley Campaign, Age of Sail Tactics, and Napoleonic tactical organization.

Four Wargamer’s Digests with way too many cool articles to list, yet suffice it to say that one of the magazines was one I’d had when I was a kid, but don’t know where it got to.  Big find there!

16 pages of color plates for WWII German vehicles including some photos on the reverse sides.

Two books, “Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Military Dress of the Peninsular War”.

A copy of “Grande Armee”, Napoleonic miniature rules.

OSG’s Special Study #2 “1806: The Autumn of No Return”

A squad each of painted 28mm Germans and British soldiers for use with Operation Squad or whatever.  This is the first time I’ve bought painted soldiers, usually preferring to paint my own, but these are too pleasing to my eye not to pick them up, and then have something for use with my brother and his son visiting over the next two weeks to share Operation Squad with them.

What stories do other folks have?

Hmmm.

I picked up a half dozen magazines. At a dollar each they are great sources for scenarios. Six packs of Battleground 15mm (old packaging before FoW style). Three of the packs will go to a local newbie to get him started as well as a copy of Squad Leader that was given to me.

I picked up some paint from Adler which I am anxious to try.

I also picked up two different sets of WW II naval rules and a campaign book. All looks to be good reading.
