Hello
Just kind of wanted to say hi. I have a friend, his name is Eric, that first found out about SOMME and last I knew he wanted to try and met up with a bunch of you guys for ASL (Advance Squad Leader). I was interested in knowing more about the group and was thinking of maybe stopping by one of your meetings. I usually play the warhammers, but I have some FoW stuff and am into a lot of historical things as well.
Hamilton, Welcome aboard. We are a somewhat informal group and are always looking for new players. Many games get posted here. If you see something you want to get in on just post a reply and somebody should follow up. For example there is some WW2 skirmish being played up at Crossroads Games in Standish this Sun. You should see the post to the right.

Hello.
We are meeting thyis Saturday (13 August) for a 25mm English Civil War battle. The meeting after that is 10 September, then 8 October (unless the Bath Game Day is that weekend). We meet at the Forest Avenue Congregational Church on the corner of Stillwater and Forest Avenues in Bangor, starting at 10am. Meetings have a "period" meal as well.
Plans are in the works for a 15mm American Civil War game using Die Fighting, a 25mm American Revolution game, an Ancients game, and a Boxer Rebellion game. My grandson is also looking into a 1920's gangster game, but that's in the very initial stages.
You obviously have an interest in World War II (something we play a lot). What other areas are of interest?
Bob Bailey
Informal Semi-Fearless Leader
Well I am kind of into all forms of history. I personally don't know many other games that are out there as I have never been exposed to them. I am kind of open to suggestion I guess.
