I finally finished a project I've been working on since February. Sorry for the crapy photos. Still need to figure out how to take good photos of miniatures with my camera.

Hittite Command and Chariots

Hittite King

Mike - they look fantastic.  I like the weathering on the chariots and I can actually see the king.  Great Job.  Who are they going to fight?

Hi Jim:

Its a 1,000 point starter army for Warmaster Ancients. I've got a Indian army from the time of Alexander the Great painted up that I've had for years. I've also got a Carthaginian that I've based and put the base coat on them. Nothing in period, but I can sure demo a couple of games of Warmaster. All are 1,000 point starter armies.

The two painted are from Old Glory. The Carthaginians are from Pendraken. I like this scale because of the cost. Armies start from $50 to $100 dollars.

I've been clearing stuff off the shell that I've had for years, most of it's started in some way or form. It would be nice to find some opponents, but that's not the point. I'll get some pictures of the current 5 year old project I'm working on up later today.

Oh, there people that play WM ancients in Maine? Cool.

WM: fantasy is one of my favorite games, the ancient rules are an improvement.

Have any other armies? Been interested in the system but never found  anyone that plays. (although there are about 10-15 warmaster players in NH)

Chris:

I have two fantasy armies as well. As I said above I have a Carthaginian and Indian army as well as the Hittites. I'd love to play some games, so just say when and let's see if we can set something up. Any of my armies could use some historical opponents however. :-)

For WM I have elves, dwarves, empire, goblins and chaos.

For WMA I don't have anything since I haven't found anyone playing ancients till now.

Republican Romans would have some interest for me; one of the main historical periods of interest for me is Byzantium. A Greek force would be interesting to (Persian Wars or Peloponnese War)

BTW I live down in Gorham.

Well, your close. I'm in Lyman.

The last group I gamed with never really worried about historical matchups. We just collected what caught our fancy. There was a strong bent towards Republican Roman and Alexander the Great, hence the reason I have the Carthaginian and Indian forces. I'm a big fan of the chariot age, hence the Hittites.

I'll see if I can get one of my WMF armies back from the guy who is suppose to be painting them for me.

Lyman and Gorham you say. It your looking for a place to game I'd suggest Crossroads Games in Standish. We've been meeting on Sundays at noon for a few weeks now and I don't think you'd have any trouble getting a table. You may even find some like minded gamers.

If anyone's interested in jumping into Warmaster Ancients Great Hall Games has Old Glory 10mm miniatures on sale right now 25% off.

10mm Miniatures

$86 for the army above. Armies with more powerful infantry and cavalry are cheaper.
