Painted, dipped, dullcoated. Got the dreaded dullcote "frost," remained calm. Hit it with Krylon Klear and dullcoated again. Only needed a bit of touch-up after that...

Nice troops, Chris.

I have not run into the Dullcoat frost but I do remember being at The Toy Soldier in Bath when one of the FRP painters went out back to matte varnish his character...and grabbed black primer instead.

Looking good, congrats!

Even see an artillery piece in the upper right corner.  What company are these from?

Yeah I remember that at the Toy Soldier those things happened a couple times, once with Silver paint (not even sure why that was in the shop)... once or twice with various primers.... ohhhhhh the humanity!!!

They're Perries. I now have 2 French infantry brigades and a heavy cav brigade. Also have a British brigade, a Dutch-Belgian brigade, and some Dutch cav. Warlord and Perry Prussians are next!

I started to "matte finish" a set of ECW troops just before a convention, only to find I had grabbed the green paint for bases instead.

Once again, The Amazing Gesticulating Man.

Green paint. That would be camouflage finish, not matte finish...

I make it a practice to spray a piece of scrap wood, cardboard, or newspaper first. Not to verify what is coming out, but to make sure the nozzle sprays properly. If the spray was green or silver, then I'd see that too.

Now that I've basically bragged that this problem has occured to me before, I dread the next time I reach for the Dull-Coat....
