There are currently no PDFs in the "Official 1939-41" briefings section of the Flames of War site.  Of course, there may be some by the time of the tourney; but the v.3 rules should definitely be out by then.  You may want to consider specifying the version of the rules which will be used.

I'd suggest adding the dates of the con to the tournament announcement.  Yes, you have a link to the Huzzah Web site, but gamers often require a little extra help.

As stated in the other group I could live without the Hero requirement. Other than to sell miniatures why is that in there?

WOW you must really have a hard time having fun, LOL( please remember as you read this Im smiling and poking a bit of fun here so lets establish that first before you read any further)monkey

We have a list of fun event types we can draw on this IS NOT about selling you anything, my god you can nominate any figure you want as a hero you not you do not need to buy anything!

Most heroes allow some special re-roll of a better skill check thier not all like the ones found in 40K ,
again its a themed event I usually pick these fun themes for a national qualifier as a way to deter the "tool bags" that a tournament can draw to events like this. I call it "40K creep" those games you play with that guy that just suck cause hes a over bearing game-hole, crazy right?
 We have over 16 event types we can host other than the basic three round slaughter that most events are I find them boring, and after hosting events for FOW for over ten years now I know how to draw the fun guys to the table, by running these themed events with a focus on the hobby side of things, Now a few of the "I must win at all costs types" no longer come to events I hold THANK GOD, and the events are more to my liking with a focus on fun,
I mean you want to talk about money how about the cost of supplying 8 scenic-ed tables for a event like this and your complaining about a $12.50 blister that you only need if you really really want to have a cool figure ,ouch that hurts my gaming heart..LOL again Im poking fun here guys laugh with me please!
Now at the same time a must say thier is a place for competitive play and I do have them events in my schedule but a feel Huzzah isn't the place for those games or that crowd. I have had a TON OF FUN at Huzzah in games If played and games Ive hosted I want to continue that fun and thats why we picked this type of event it is not to sell you anything.

Yes, actually I am complaining about having to buy a blister I don't want. You play your way and I'll play my way. I don't like or enjoy herros. I prefer plain jane units. So I guess I just skip this tournment. There's plenty of other things to do this weekend. You could make this optional, but you chose not to. It's your tournament, so have fun. (In case you haven't figured it out, I didn't think your post was funny.)

We'll change "must" to "should" as thats the intent of the event and is the the purpose of the draft to clear up any miss understanding, If heroes arnt your thing this might not be the event for you sorry for any confusion or misunderstanding and folks can build lists without them and some lists dont have them but understanding that you will most likly see a lot during the event is all thats important hope that helps, anyway best wishes!

I don't have any problems with other folks using heros, it's just me. I would be just as turned off it you told me I had to bring a Tiger with my list.

Gordon;

I have the layout of the Rangeley Room somewhere, but can't put my finger on them at this moment.  But from memory of setting that up twice now, you can easily accommodate 6 spaces, and 8 is still comfortable.  Now when I say 'Spaces' understand that I mean a 4x6' table (the tables at the convention site are either 2'x6' or some are narrower, but the narrower ones are used first in the main hall for the vendors.  We have you scheduled to have the Rangeley Room Saturday Morning and Saturday afternoon.

It is possible to squeeze more game spaces into the room but each one you add crowds a small space, and will mean that you will not have total access to all edges of the tables.  Meaning that some might have to be against a wall on a short edge...

I do not see any problem making your  8 spaces exist for the 16 slots, its just a matter of table jockying...

Hi Tim,
I recieved a copy of the room after contacting the hotel, I made a layout planner using grid paper and I can definitly get eight 4x6 tables in that space. maybe nine(one in the middle). In the room thiers the dividers Im putting a table in each section with the short edge against a wall Im averaging about 2 1/2 to 3 feet of space around each table( on three sides) thats plenty of room! Ill bring my grid sheet with me and I might be able to fax it to you as well, With the tables set up around the rooms walls it creates a horse shoe effect that allows folks to walk in and see the games &  tables and not get in the way of the gaming, Ill only need a small table for prizes, trophies and log in by the door . this will work out great!  grid paper is an amazing product...lolwink
