Hello everyone.

Our next public game day is scheduled for December 7th; (yes really) 2013 at the Winter Street Center in Bath.  We will also hold our Flea Market at this event for the first time.  Mike T should be posting details about this in the next several days.  Also look for an email in the next day or so calling for games for this event.  As usual we will be looking for 6 to 8 games over two sessions of gaming.

More later.

Chris, that is awesome. Your games a lot of fun to play in and the table looks great. Do you have a preference for the morning or the afternoon session?

Ok all, we have a couple more submissions - Guadalcanal and AWI; so now we need just a couple more, say another two or three games submitted and we will be all set.

So we have our slate of games ... more details later but here are the basics --

AM slot  9 to 1pm

Chris Penny - Napoleonic French in Russia
Chris Parker - 40mm Medievals
Gordon - 28mm Bolt Action

PM  2 to 6
Dean Emmerson/Chris Boynton - ACW with the new Longstreet rules
Billy D, and Steven Rogers will run a Cold War  Micro Armor game
Gordon - 28mm Bolt Action

And yet to be determined -  a WW2 Naval Game from Wayne Warner (something Guadalcanal involved); and Rail Baron with Mark Leaman; and an AmRev with Chris Parker

So we will have 4 games each session, with our usual lunch hour in between and probably some Frosty's Donuts and Coffee in the morning.

Also, we will organize a ticket auction, so for those of you who have anything you know you'll never use (dead lead you know your not going to paint; or perhaps that painted unit from a project that never got completed, or maybe some minty rules that you abandoned) let us know and we can find it a great new wargaming home.

My game for the Dec 7th Game day

First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal
Location: Iron Bottom Sound 0124 hrs. Nov 13th 1942
4-6 players
Rules: General Quarters III Night fight
Ships 1/3000 Navwar

Tactical Situation: Rear Admiral Hiroaki Abe is leading the Japanese bombardment group to screen another Toyo Express run carrying reinforcements to launch another land offensive against Henderson Field. Admiral Daniel J. Callaghan is leading Task Force 67.4 to protect the Marine positions from bombardment and also interdict IJN resupply efforts.

“This action stands without peer for furious, close-range, and confused fighting during the war. But the result was not decisive. The self-sacrifice of Callaghan and his task force had purchased one night's respite for Henderson Field. It had postponed, not stopped, the landing of major Japanese reinforcements, nor had the greater portion of the (Japanese) Combined Fleet yet been heard from."
Historian R. B. Frank
